We are vine growers and wine makers in the Montilla-Moriles Designation of Origin (Córdoba), one of the oldest, most genuine and, paradoxically, unknown wine regions in Spain.

Our landscape is the soft albariza hills of the best states in the Sierra de Montilla and Moriles Alto. Our world is in the vineyard and also between jars and casks, in the silence of our traditional wineries.

A story of authenticity, commitment and pleasure
1905
Three brothers from the north of Spain, José, Julián and Emilio Pérez Barquero, founded the winery. The oldest wines in the house date from that year.
1955
The mythical solera 1955 commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of the winery.
1985
The Córdoba, Ruz and Gracia families, with a long history of winemaking in Montilla-Moriles, assume the legacy of Pérez Barquero. This change boosts the brand at all levels.
80s-90s
We intensify the export orientation. Today our wines and brandies are present in 56 countries.
2016
Our Amontillado 1905 Solera Fundacional gets 100 Parker points.
2024
Pérez Barquero has done it again! 100 Parker points again for the new bottling of a wine that is surely exceptional and world class
